Used Book Sale
April 11-13, 2024

Although we have postponed our book sale, generous member contributions plus the proceeds of internet and wholesale sales of books that are not suitable for our sale, have allowed us to fund scholarships at Montgomery College and the Universities at Shady Grove.

Book sale proceeds benefit the AAUW Funds scholarship and research activities, AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund, and scholarships at Montgomery College
and other local educational institutions.

AAUW Funds

AAUW, supported by the branch, provides over $3.7 million in grants and awards annually to women and non-profit organizations for graduate and post-doctoral research, career development, and community action. Legal Advocacy Fund works to combat discrimination in higher education and workplaces. AAUW Action Fund supports member activism and voter mobilization.

Lobby Corps

Lobby Corps has been temporarily suspended. AAUW members and student interns from around Washington, DC, visit congressional offices about 30 times a year to educate policymakers on AAUW legislative priorities.
