USED BOOK SALE

April 11-13, 2024 sale was a huge success due to the dedicated work of the many people who collected book throughout the year and the many volunteers who helped with the sale. The proceeds were donated to the Montgomery College ($11,000) and Universities at Shady Grove ($3,666) to provide scholarships to deserving women.

AAUW FUNDS

AAUW, supported by the branch, awarded more than $29 million to women and non-profit organizations for graduate and post-doctoral research, career development, and community action, FY20 through FY25.

LOBBY CORPS

After a several- year absence Lobby Corps members are again visiting U.S, Senators and Representatives twice a month when Congress is in session. AAUW members and student interns from around Washington, DC visit congressional offices to educate policymakers on AAUW legislative priorities. Lobby Corps participants are briefed by AAUW professional staff so that Lobby Corps members can provide accurate, unbiased advocacy.
